Uttarakhand govt to provide education, jobs to students orphaned due to Covid-19on May 24, 2021 As the second wave of Covid-19 has hit the country, leaving a lot of families without breadwinners, the government of Uttarakhand has decided to help the students in the state who lost their parents due to Covid-19 by providing them with financial aid. Following the footsteps of several state governments in the country, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Saturday announced a scheme for the education and employment of children who lost their parents due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As per the scheme launched by the government of Uttarakhand, children who have lost their parents will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 under the scheme named Mukhya Mantri Vatsalya Yojana up to the age of 21, an official statement said.

In recent news, many state governments have come forward to offer financial aid and free education to children who have lost their parents or guardians due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as the death toll in India has increased significantly in the past month.
